I wiped my blog slate clean to start fresh.... I had several ideas for topics I wanted to research, but after some initial digging I felt lukewarm about each. An historical research subject, which interests me still, yielded mostly unsuitable vintage newspaper images or sepia toned photos. Maybe that one stays on a personal research list...
Then I thought about a long commute I had, and how, being limited to AM/FM and a cassette player, NPR (national public radio) introduced me to StoryCorps. StoryCorps is an independent non-profit oral history project in which everyday people share their stories in recorded conversations with family and friends. The recording booth travels across the country, and the stories collected are sometimes simple, amazing, sweet or sad, and always fascinating.
I knew I found a "keeper" topic....stay tuned....
